Brittanie Powell


Since Brittanies Win at Southside Idol , she has done numerous performances locally and nationally. She was also nominated for vocalist of the year for the Josie Music Awards in independent music, that was held in Nashville, Tennessee. She was recently selected to pursue modeling and performing for ARTS International in Los Angeles, California. She auditoned and won a scholarship to the New York Conservatory of Dramic Arts. Brittanie continues to be a huge part of Southside Idol and this year she is excited to help the contestants have the performance of their lives.

Samantha Russell


Samantha Russell is a very busy medical assistant, in a very busy pediatric office, however her first love is music. Her primary music education has primarily been classical and she began to perform, many years ago, like many young artist do, in the church choir.

Samantha's knowledge of chorus grew as she progressed through her school days, advancing herself to Nationals as a soloist.

After graduation from high school, she was blessed for a couple of years to be able to travel as a lead singer in a praise and worship ministry and also managed to subsidize her income as a wedding singer. Samantha's free time, before parenthood, was spent singing in various choruses.

In more recent years she has been blessed with some performance coaching positions. Samantha says "Working with kids is very rewarding". When their performance improves and you see the pride on their faces, it's the best reward there is."

Dr. Tony Buzzella

Dr. Buzzella is a native Floridian, born and raised in Miami-Dade County where
he excelled in both academics and the arts.
Professionally, he has received numerous awards and accolades. He began his
career as a High School Band and Choral director in 1976. He went on to serve
as a school Principal, elected School Board Member, and host of several
community arts festivals and special events.
Dr. Buzzella has been a professional musician and entertainer since the age of
sixteen. Through the years, he has shared the performance stage with several
legendary musicians and entertainers, including: Pete Fountain, Grandpa Jones,
Kenny Rogers, Rusty Hammerstrom, and many others.
Currently, Tony Buzzella serves as principal at North Florida Arts & Sciences
Academy in Lake City, Florida and vocal coach for the North Central Florida's
“Southside Idol”. He also serves as President on the board of Community
Concerts of Lake City, Inc.
